Job summary

AWARE Inc. in Great Falls, MT is seeking a Recreation Therapist to join our caring team. This full-time position offers a starting salary between $55,000 and $65,000 per year and opportunities for professional growth.

Travel to client sites is required to provide high-quality TR services in the community. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, completion of a NCTRC internship, and a CTRS certification either at hire or within the first year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation meeting NCTRC standards.
• NCTRC approved internship completed or in progress.
• CTRS certification at hire strongly preferred or within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Work remotely within assigned location/region.
• Travel to designated cities/regions to meet clients and provide services.
• Conduct assessments and use observational skills in client evaluation.
• Plan and implement TR interventions to increase client independence.
• Research and apply evidence-based practices in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Design TR protocols, session plans and processes.
• Deliver interventions respectful of client age, culture, and ability levels.
• Document and evaluate services for efficiency and quality.
