Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice in South Carolina.
- Minimum of one year of Workers’ Compensation defense litigation experience.
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation laws, procedures, and claims management.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills to prepare motions and briefs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct depositions of claimants, witnesses, medical providers, and experts.
- Prepare and argue motions; draft briefs and position statements.
- Represent clients in mediations; appear at hearings before SC Workers’ Compensation Commission.
- Manage discovery, negotiate settlements, and maintain client communications.
