Job summary

EdVoice seeks a Vice President of Finance & Operations to lead financial strategy, governance, and organizational effectiveness in California. The role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and people systems, reporting to the CEO and driving multi-entity financial stewardship.

The ideal candidate will manage budgeting, audits, treasury, and internal controls while partnering across teams to enable scalable growth and impact in EdVoice and EdVoice Institute.

Qualifications

• Experience leading finance, operations, HR in nonprofit organizations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, audits, multi-entity accounting.
• Proven ability to build and scale organizational systems and processes.
• Familiarity with IRS, FPPC, and PAC compliance in education nonprofits.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-term financial strategy and organizational sustainability.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and risk management.
• Manage accounting, reporting, treasury, and audits across entities.
• Oversee operations, vendor management, compliance, and facilities.
• Lead HR functions, talent strategy, and performance processes.
• Build and guide finance/ops/people systems teams.
