Job summary

The Mobile Inspector role at Cox Automotive's Manheim Mobile Inspections team conducts on-site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients within an assigned territory, documenting condition to Manheim standards to support marketplace transparency and inventory flow.

Levels 1–3 offer hourly pay ranges, performance incentives, and a prorated first-month guarantee. This role requires driving, accuracy, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimal automotive knowledge preferred (body and mechanical)
• 0-1 years of automotive-related experience preferred
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record required
• Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role within required timeframes

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and document conditions.
• Move and position vehicles safely on dealer lots.
• Verify VINs, mileage, options, and document data in inspection systems.
• Develop knowledge of inspection standards and client expectations.
• Collaborate with team and dealers to ensure high-quality inspections.
