Job summary

Beckhoff Automation USA is seeking an IC/OT Cybersecurity & OS Specialist to be the local expert on ICS/OT cybersecurity, operating systems, and secure engineering practices for Beckhoff's US customers.

You will collaborate with sales, application engineers, and our global cybersecurity team in Germany to ensure secure messaging, guidance, and compliant implementations across industrial control environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in ICS/OT cybersecurity within industrial environments.
• Ability to explain vulnerability handling and incident response to customers.
• Strong OS hardening and firewall configuration knowledge.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST, CRA, and related guidance.
• Willingness to travel 20–25% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the local expert supporting sales and AEs in security conversations and standards discussions.
• Assist with security questionnaires and RFP/RFI sections during the sales process.
• Explain Beckhoff's vulnerability handling and incident response procedures to customers.
• Create and maintain training materials and documentation with the global cybersecurity team.
• Coordinate messaging and guidance with HQ in Germany.
• Travel to customer sites up to 20–25% as needed.
• Engage with customer IT/OT security personnel as a technical resource.
