Job summary

OSU Foundation in Corvallis, OR, seeks an Engagement Student Assistant to support Annual Giving and Gift Planning programs. This part-time role (up to 24 hours per week) offers hands-on experience in donor engagement, research, and communications under senior leadership.

The student will assist with donor stewardship, data entry, marketing support, and event logistics while gaining exposure to both annual and planned giving strategies within a nonprofit university foundation setting.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and databases/CRM experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote philanthropy through student and donor engagement and outreach.
• Support Dam Proud Day, OSU Legacy Society through logistics and communications.
• Thank donors, share impact stories, collect feedback, assist with legacy engagement.
• Conduct market, donor, and prospect research to support fundraising.
• Assist donor cultivation, including outreach preparation and stewardship.
• Support creation and editing of marketing, stewardship, and donor communications.
• Maintain donor records through data entry and reporting.
• Shadow advancement professionals to gain exposure to annual giving and gift planning.
• Provide general administrative support for Annual Giving and Gift Planning teams.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
