Job summary

GDIT is seeking a frontend UI/UX developer to build React SPAs with secure API integrations, responsive UI design, and WCAG‑compliant accessibility. You’ll craft workflow‑driven UX for reconciliation and exception‑management systems while delivering performant, reliable interfaces and collaborating across cross‑functional teams.

You will apply modern CSS, implement protected routing, and ensure accessible patterns.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, SPA architecture, and component-driven development.
• Experience with React Router, centralized or modular state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API), and async data flows.
• Expertise in modern CSS (grid, flexbox, media queries) and responsive UI design patterns.
• Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs with secure data-handling, validation, and error-management practices.
• Familiarity with secure UI behaviors including protected routes, session handling, and safe rendering patterns.
• Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards, ARIA usage, and semantic HTML.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in debugging UI state, routing behaviors, and asynchronous workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build React SPAs with modular components, client-side routing, and robust state management.
• Implement UI features including drilldowns for out-of-balance conditions and structured workflows.
• Deliver responsive layouts using grid, flexbox, and media queries.
• Integrate RESTful APIs with secure data handling, validation, and error management.
• Ensure protected routes, secure session handling, and safe rendering.
• Apply WCAG accessibility guidelines with ARIA roles and semantic HTML.
• Collaborate with backend, ingestion, reporting, and DevOps teams; document UI components and patterns.
