Job summary

ByteZero is a digital marketing agency that serves small businesses and law firms in the Charlotte metro area and beyond. This role focuses on building and maintaining fast, accessible pages using React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Python build scripts.

You will collaborate with the SEO and ads team, ship pages, test across breakpoints, and ensure correct JSON-LD and on-page optimization. Remote work is allowed within the Charlotte metro with occasional in-person meetings when helpful.

Qualifications

2 to 5 years building and maintaining production websites.
Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and working React with TypeScript.
Tailwind CSS or another utility-first CSS approach.
Git and GitHub for everyday work.
Responsive layouts that hold up at 390 px and in-between widths.
Working understanding of technical SEO: meta tags, canonicals, redirects and structured data.
Live sites you built or substantially worked on that you can show us.

Responsibilities

Build new pages and sections in React, TypeScript and Tailwind from a design or brief.
Maintain the Python builders that generate static sites and sync output to GitHub.
Make careful edits to WordPress and Elementor client sites.
Ensure reliable deployment: build locally, push, publish, and verify live pages.
