Job summary

Select Source Solutions is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer (React & TypeScript) for a fully remote role. You will build modern web applications, implement accessible UI patterns, and collaborate with product, UI/UX, and backend teams to translate designs into production-ready interfaces.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in React/TypeScript, strong HTML/CSS, accessibility, testing, and experience with REST APIs, Git workflows, and CI/CD in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience developing production web apps with React and TypeScript.
• Strong React fundamentals, including hooks, reusable components, and composition.
• Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript skills.
• Strong HTML/CSS, responsive and accessible design.
• Experience integrating front-end with REST/JSON APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production web apps and UI using React and TypeScript.
• Develop reusable components with modern patterns and hooks.
• Translate designs into responsive, accessible applications.
• Implement semantic HTML and modern CSS practices.
• Develop styling across Sass, MUI, USWDS, or similar frameworks.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to refine user flows and visuals.
• Integrate front-end with REST/JSON APIs and backend services.
• Implement asynchronous behavior including loading states and pagination.
• Create automated tests (unit, component, integration, e2e) with Vitest/Jest/RTL/Playwright.
• Participate in Git-based workflows, code reviews, and release processes.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and modern build tooling (Vite, npm, Yarn).
• Engage in design discussions and evaluate approaches for usability and performance.
