Job summary

Castello Systems, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to maintain and enhance a React-based front-end for a DoD–Industry collaboration application. You will develop, test, and deploy UI improvements while ensuring performance and reliability in a production environment.

You will work with government stakeholders to prioritize enhancements, translate feedback into scalable UI solutions, and integrate with backend services and APIs. Telework up to one day per week is available.

Qualifications

• Experience developing production-grade React front-ends.
• Experience with TypeScript, modern JS, and UI/UX best practices.
• Ability to translate user feedback into scalable UI components.
• Knowledge of Agile planning and sprint ceremonies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance a production React app for DoD and Industry Partners.
• Develop, test, and implement UI enhancements while ensuring stability and performance.
• Troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders to gather needs and prioritize enhancements.
• Translate feedback into scalable, maintainable front-end solutions.
• Maintain React UIs for registration, tracking, workflow, reporting, and more.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate changes and support releases.
• Integrate front-end with back-end services and APIs.
• Apply modern front-end practices using React/TS/HTML/CSS.
• Support Agile planning, backlog refinement, and releases.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment, balancing support and development.
• Telework up to one day per week is offered.
