Job summary

Venture Search is seeking an Experienced Proprietary Trader to join a highly technical, global trading team. You will develop and refine systematic and discretionary strategies across major electronic markets, working closely with researchers and technologists to turn ideas into profitable deployments.

You should have a proven track record in high-volume trading, strong quantitative skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years profitable trading experience in high-volume environments.
• Ability to develop new profitable trading strategies.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and quantitative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new proprietary trading strategies across global electronic markets.
• Analyse existing strategies and identify opportunities to improve performance, execution and risk-adjusted returns.
• Customise and optimise established trading strategies based on market conditions and trader expertise.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and software developers to translate ideas into production strategies.
• Monitor live trading and adjust strategy parameters, risk and execution as needed.
• Identify new market opportunities and develop systematic approaches to capture them.
• Apply sound judgment when trading significant volumes and adapt to evolving market conditions.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the firm’s proprietary trading technology and processes.
