Job summary

Reason Foundation seeks a Quantitative Analyst for its Fellowship Program. The role focuses on data-driven analyses, visualizations, and publication-ready outputs for internal and external audiences. You will tackle challenging datasets and transform policy questions into actionable insights.

The position is full-time, paid for one year, reporting to the Managing Director of Government Finance. It can be done virtually anywhere in the United States, with strong emphasis on clear communication

Qualifications

• This role requires 1–2+ years in quantitative analytics or related fields.
• Proficiency in Excel and at least one statistical tool (R or Python).
• Strong writing and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse data sets to provide rigorous analyses.
• Turn data into publication-ready analyses, data viz, or tools.
• Turn policy questions into clear, actionable insights.
• Collaborate with analysts to produce research products.
• Write regular commentary for Reason.org on data insights.
• Assist divisions with analytic work as needed.
