Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining quality systems for janitorial operations within GMP-regulated environments. This role ensures compliance with ISO standards, drives continuous improvement, and leads a team committed to delivering high-quality sanitation services in highly regulated spaces.

Key Responsibilities
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred)
- GMP training certification (required)
- Six Sigma or Lean certification (a plus)
- Minimum 5 years of QA experience in GMP-regulated environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sectors)
- Proven experience managing janitorial or sanitation services in cleanroom or controlled environments
- Demonstrated success implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 systems
- Experience conducting internal audits and managing CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of GMP, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards
- Familiarity with cleaning validation protocols and environmental monitoring
- Proficiency in writing SOPs, work instructions, and QA documentation
- Competence in using digital QA tools (e.g., audit software, document control systems)
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain QA systems aligned with ISO and GMP requirements
- Conduct routine audits of janitorial processes, documentation, and compliance
- Lead investigations into deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints
- Oversee training programs for janitorial staff on GMP and ISO procedures
- Collaborate with operations to ensure cleaning protocols meet regulatory expectations
- Prepare for and support external audits (FDA, ISO certifying bodies, client inspections)
People Management & Leadership
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams of janitorial staff and QA personnel
- Experience managing performance, conducting evaluations, and fostering accountability
- Skilled in conflict resolution, team motivation, and building a culture of compliance and continuous improvement
- Ability to tailor communication and training to diverse teams across shifts and facilities
- Comfortable managing union and non-union environments (if applicable)
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive a culture of quality
