Beacon Inspection is seeking a Quality Control & Damage Estimator to act as the final gatekeeper before reports reach clients. The role involves auditing 1st‑draft reports, confirming VINs, specs, mileage, tire depths, brake measurements, and fluid data, andAssigning defensible repair cost estimates for flagged deficiencies.

Qualifications

• Formal estimating or documenting repair costs on commercial trucks or trailers.
• Understanding components, systems, and failure modes on Class 6–8 trucks/trailers.
• Attention to VIN accuracy, photos, and written findings.
• Experience coordinating 1099 workers or contractors.

Responsibilities

• Audit 1st‑draft inspection reports; verify photos match findings and VINs, miles, tire depths, and fluids.
• Assign defensible repair cost estimates for deficiencies; distinguish minor vs major repairs.
• Coordinate inspection jobs and schedules across time zones with the national 1099 inspector network.
• Mentor new inspectors on guidelines and past report examples to maintain high standards.
