Job summary

Noblis is seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Enterprise Technologies team for a part-time internship during the school year, with potential to extend into the summer.

Interns will primarily work remotely but may attend in person in Reston, VA occasionally. You will collaborate with analysts and developers in an Agile Scrum environment to validate features, develop test plans, and document defects.

Qualifications

• US Person (Citizenship or US Permnanent Resident)
• Must have at least a 3.3 GPA
• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (computer science or related) with one semester remaining
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team using Agile Scrum
• Strong self-organization and self-management skills, with emphasis on self-initiation and follow through
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are extremely important to effectively communicate with team members remotely
• Positive and professional customer and user centric attitude
• Experience executing or designing test plans
• Experience identifying and documenting defects

Responsibilities

• Execute and develop test plans
• Document test plan findings and defects
• Work with Analysts and Developers to report findings and recommendations
• Operate within an Agile software development environment
• Active participation in scrum ceremonies remotely: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Grooming Sessions, Sprint Reviews
• You will be a member of an Agile Scrum cross-functional team developing a new feature for one of the web applications that align with the strategic goals of the organization
• This position will primarily be individual work however you will be actively engaged and involved with an Agile project team to ensure the quality of corporate solutions.
