Job summary

Hired is hiring a QA Engineer to ensure our software works as intended. The role combines manual exploratory testing with automation to protect the user experience and shipping confidence.

The position is fully remote with a compensation range of $75,000 to $120,000 USD, plus benefits. You will design and execute test plans, build automated suites, and collaborate with developers to improve quality across CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 2 years in QA, including test automation.
• Hands-on with automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD and version control.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• ISTQB certification is a plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for new features and releases
• Build and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, E2E)
• Conduct exploratory testing to find edge cases automation misses
• Triage and report bugs with clear reproduction steps
• Partner with developers on root cause analysis
• Improve QA processes and contribute to CI/CD pipelines
