Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a senior full-stack Python engineer to design data pipelines, annotation tooling, and evaluation systems powering AI labs. This is a fully remote contract role, 20–40 hours per week, with potential for ongoing work.

You will build high-performance Python systems, develop tooling for large-scale annotation and quality control, and collaborate with AI teams to support model training and evaluation in production environments.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of production-grade Python experience.
• Strong full-stack capabilities with a systems mindset.
• Clean, maintainable code with tests and linters.
• Experience integrating AI services and APIs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance Python systems for AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows.
• Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for data annotation and quality control.
• Improve reliability, performance, and safety across production codebases.
• Integrate AI services and APIs with robust error handling.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams for model training workflows.
