Job summary

Volga Partners is seeking a Software Development Engineer with strong expertise in Python backend systems and AI/LLM applications.

You will build and maintain production-grade AI-powered systems, integrating large language models into real-world workflows across backend services, orchestration layers, and data pipelines to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.

This hands-on role requires problem-solving, system design, and the ability to operate in fast-evolving AI environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 3+ years of backend or systems engineering experience with Python production systems.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs or AI-driven services into real applications.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production-grade AI-powered systems in Python.
• Integrate LLM APIs into production workflows with prompts, validation, and retries.
• Design scalable REST APIs and asynchronous workflows.
• Work across multi-language codebases (C#/C++, Python, web tech) where applicable.
• Develop systems for prompt management, model routing, and failure handling.
• Monitor performance with telemetry; diagnose bottlenecks and optimize.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn ideas into features.
• Write clean, testable code and help establish engineering best practices.
