Job summary

Verita AI is seeking experienced backend software engineers for a fully remote, asynchronous contractor engagement. Each day you will complete one task focused on realistic software engineering workflows that help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems.

The compensation is $300 per completed task, with weekly payments and an immediate start for a 2–3 week engagement. Candidates should have 3+ years of backend development experience and strong Python, Docker, and Git skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python proficiency, including experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience building and maintaining backend applications.
• Familiarity using Git, Docker, and modern development workflows.
• Daily proficiency with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete one task per day focusing on realistic software engineering workflows for AI systems.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Python frameworks.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams while working asynchronously.
