Job summary

Penguin Random House offers a 10-week PAID, REMOTE internship in our adult, children’s, and corporate divisions. Interns are exposed to the publishing process through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series. Summer interns work 28 hours per week and are paid $21/hour.

We are seeking candidates who are passionate about books and eager to learn about the publishing industry, with a preference for those residing in the United States and available June 7, 2027 – August 12, 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be ready to work full-time on or before June 2028 (You do not need to be enrolled in college or have a degree to apply to our internship program).
• Able to work 28 hours/week throughout the program
• Available and commit to the program working June 7th, 2027 – August 12th, 2027
• Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship program
• Must be over the age of 18

Responsibilities

• Researching new media contacts, influencer, and brand partnerships for title marketing campaigns
• Collaborating with the team to create content for author and imprint social media platforms
• Assisting in select marketing book mailings (remotely)
• Attending team meetings to help brainstorm promotional opportunities for titles
