Job summary

Temple University’s Center for Public Health Law Research is seeking a Law and Policy Analyst to advance scientific legal mapping projects and public health policy work. You will research statutes, regulations, and case law across diverse public health topics and contribute to publications and datasets with a focus on health equity.

Qualifications

• JD degree required with at least two years of relevant post-graduate research experience.
• Experience in legal epidemiology or policy research and analysis of statutes/regulations.
• Proficiency with legal databases including Lexis, Westlaw, HeinOnline.
• Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, cloud storage and web interfaces.
• Equivalent education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct federal, state, and local law and policy research, including statutes and case law.
• Research international and comparative law; synthesize legal issues for public health topics.
• Draft background memorandums and publications; contribute to datasets using MonQcle.
• Collaborate with a remote team; assist with grant writing and dissemination.
