Job summary

UVA Primary Care Riverside seeks an Autonomous Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for Charlottesville, VA. Remote position with Virginia licensure; 2-3 years experience required. Schedule: 4 days, 10 hours each, Mon–Fri.

Outpatient care with a wide scope within UVA Health System; collaboration with an interprofessional team. Compensation includes tiered base salary and guaranteed incentive for first two years, transitioning to wRVU-based model after.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited nursing or PA program with master's.
• Virginia license required or license-eligible as APRN/PA and credentialing in UVA Health System.
• BLS required; PALS/NRP and ACLS as position requires.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical director, management, nursing and other team members to coordinate patient care.
• Perform, document health histories and physicals and initiate emergency procedures as needed.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies in consultation with colleagues.
• Manage patient care within UVA policies and privileges; coordinate referrals as needed.
• Educate patients and families about diseases and treatment plans; provide ongoing support.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities and quality improvement activities.
• Mentor students and residents as appropriate.
