Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• Current or eligible Virginia Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse licensure.
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority eligibility.
• Minimum of 3 years of psychiatric practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for adolescents and adults.
• Diagnose and treat a broad range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder.
• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based medication management and therapeutic interventions.
• Prescribe, adjust, and monitor psychotropic medications in accordance with Virginia regulations.
• Provide ongoing follow-up care, symptom management, and patient education.
