Job summary

Gainwell Technologies seeks a Provider Field Representative Lead to oversee California-based Provider Field Representatives, focusing on billing support, claims research, and training delivery. The role emphasizes collaboration with providers, internal teams, and Medi-Cal program requirements, with remote work within California.

The candidate should bring 3+ years in BPO/healthcare operations, strong leadership, and virtual/in-person training experience.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of BPO, consulting, systems implementation, provider relations, provider services, or related healthcare operations experience.
• Experience supporting healthcare providers with billing, claims research, billing issues, and reimbursement-related questions.
• Experience serving as a functional lead, mentor, trainer, or escalation point for a team.
• Experience developing and/or delivering training to healthcare providers virtually and in person.
• Strong provider relations, analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, facilitation, and functional leadership skills.
• Experience working with business processes, assessing provider or client needs, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Medi-Cal or Medicaid experience preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout California.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional leadership and direction to Provider Field Representatives, serving as a resource for escalations and complex inquiries.
• Support provider billing activities, including one-on-one billing assistance, claims research and analysis, and resolution of billing issues.
• Support and direct provider education and outreach, including workshops, seminars, and provider association events.
• Serve as a liaison between providers, internal departments, and the client to ensure service delivery and Medi-Cal program compliance.
• Apply policies and procedures while exercising independent judgment to resolve complex provider issues and suggest improvements.
• Document complex issue resolution and contribute to shared knowledge resources for the team.
• Support development and mentoring of Provider Field Representatives to improve provider service and operations.
