Are you an experienced Protection & Controls Substation Engineer looking for a challenging yet rewarding career opportunity? We are seeking a talented individual to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate can work remotely from home. This role requires proficiency in high voltage, 15-500 kV substations, calculations such as relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations, and a comprehensive understanding of Protection & Controls.

Responsibilities

1. Design, analyze, and supervise the installation and operation of high voltage, 15-500 kV substations.
2. Conduct and interpret complex calculations related to relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit to ensure safety and performance.
3. Develop and implement Protection & Controls strategies to safeguard systems.
4. Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and resolve substation issues.
5. Maintain detailed documentation of designs, calculations, and analyses.
6. Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
7. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2. At least 5 years of experience with high voltage, 15-500 kV substations.
3. Proficiency in relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations.
4. Experience with Protection & Controls.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
6. Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
7. Ability to work independently and remotely.
8. PE license is preferred.
