Job summary

Clever Builds is seeking an experienced architectural designer to own permit-ready designs from concept through approval. You’ll work with a drafting team and coordinate with our Ensenada factory to turn design intent into build-ready drawings.

Based in/near California, you’ll travel to the Ensenada facility as needed and manage multiple projects on long timelines, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and local codes.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in architecture or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years producing permit sets for projects.
• Strong Revit skills for modeling, sheets, families, annotation.

Responsibilities

• Take projects from concept through permit submittal and approval.
• Produce drawings in Revit and direct the drafting team.
• Coordinate with Ensenada factory to translate design intent into working drawings.
• Act as primary design contact for customers: kickoff, options, revisions, timeline.
