Job summary

The Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB) in Olympia, WA, seeks a Program Manager, Educator Preparation to coordinate educator preparation program reviews and teacher residency initiatives. The position offers remote work within Washington with periodic in-person collaboration days, reporting to the Co-Director of Educator Preparation. Travel may be required for board meetings.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Master’s degree in education, Public Policy, or Public Administration (or a related field).
• Or a bachelor’s degree in education, Public Policy, or Public Administration plus three years of relevant experience.
• Experience facilitating groups and managing projects.
• Proven ability to advance equity in education and engage diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate clearly to public audiences in writing and speaking.
• Comfort working in team environments under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Co-manage educator preparation program reviews and teacher residency support.
• Develop materials and reports for PESB, Legislature, and stakeholders.
• Plan work groups, facilitate committees, and foster learning communities.
• Coordinate outreach and gather feedback from community partners.
• Represent PESB in statewide and national forums.
