The Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB) seeks an Executive Director to lead Washington’s educator preparation and certification strategies. You will provide strategic direction, oversee a budget exceeding $27 million, and collaborate with districts, OSPI, unions, and partners to advance equity and excellence in P-12 education.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader with ten years of senior leadership, a Master’s degree, and a track record of cross-agency collaboration and policy impact.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree from an accredited educational institution.
• 10+ years in public school administration, higher education, or similar large, diverse organizations.
• 5+ years of supervisory and leadership experience.
• Experience advising executive leadership or elected officials, or boards.
• Upon hire, reside in Washington state.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out executive functions as directed by the PESB board and operationalize goals.
• Lead strategic planning, budgeting, policy direction, and cross‑sector coordination.
• Oversee Educator Credentialing, Educator Preparation, and Educator Workforce units.
• Build partnerships with districts, OSPI, unions, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and advance equity priorities.
