Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking an ML Engineer to bridge ML and software engineering, building the production foundation for deploying, evaluating, and improving models at scale. You will own production ML infrastructure, design scalable model execution services, and automate data preparation, validation, and releases to enable rapid, reliable iterations.

Ideal candidates have strong Python skills, production ML experience, and a solid grasp of distributed systems, with exposure to PyTorch or JAX

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals for production-grade systems.
• Hands-on experience building ML infrastructure in production.
• Experience with model serving, evaluation, deployment workflows, or ML data pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of distributed computing, fault tolerance, and scalable design.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code for long-term use.
• Proficiency in Python with exposure to PyTorch or JAX.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, orchestration, GPUs, and high-performance serving.
• Exposure to LLM inference, retrieval systems, or vector databases is a plus.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills to identify bottlenecks.
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid technical change, with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Engineer dependable production foundations that support ML workloads from development through deployment and operation.
• Create scalable model execution services with consistent latency and throughput.
• Develop automated workflows for data prep, model validation, releases, and iterative improvement.
• Establish evaluation frameworks to monitor model behavior, performance changes and regressions.
• Implement monitoring and diagnostics for visibility into production ML health.
• Investigate performance constraints and deliver improvements across speed, capacity, resilience, and efficiency.
• Partner with ML, research, product, and software engineers to translate needs into robust production solutions.
• Turn recurring infra needs into reusable engineering capabilities to accelerate future work.
• Contribute to an adaptable ML environment that can evolve with new models and serving approaches.
