Job summary

Activeone is seeking a Product Owner to bridge PRDs and sprint-ready work across three engineering pods. You will translate product intent into Definition-of-Ready tickets with clear Given/When/Then acceptance criteria and maintain a clean backlog.

This internal role focuses on requirements and backlog quality, not strategy or delivery ownership. It’s 100% remote for a six-month contract with flexible hours and supportive benefits.

Qualifications

• Product Ownership / requirements writing ≥ 3 years.
• Given/When/Then acceptance criteria ≥ 3 years.
• Technical fluency (APIs, data models, edge cases, dependencies — no coding) ≥ 3 years.
• AI tooling applied to a real process, with demonstrable proof ≥ 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Translate PRDs into Definition-of-Ready, sprint-ready Linear tickets with clear Given/When/Then acceptance criteria.
• Maintain backlog quality through Definition-of-Ready and format audits.
• Write release notes from what shipped each cycle.
• Use AI to run and improve the requirements and backlog process.
• Define acceptance criteria in partnership with Design (owns UX) and QA (owns testing).
• Feed clean requirements into Engineering without owning delivery.
