Job summary

IREN, a leading AI cloud service provider, seeks a Procurement Analyst (Direct) in San Francisco. You will own the end-to-end procure-to-pay cycle for datacenter and AI infrastructure projects, coordinating with requestors, vendors, Finance, and Legal while tracking budgets and burn rates.

The role requires SAP experience, strong Excel skills, and detailed cost tracking. You will triage parts requests, issue RFQs, and manage invoices and POs to ensure timely, compliant project spend in a hybrid

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience across purchasing or procure-to-pay operations, accounts payable or billing, and project cost control; datacenter, critical infrastructure, or large-scale construction exposure preferred.
  • Hands-on SAP (or other large-scale ERP) experience: PO entry, vendor onboarding and master data, invoice and SES entry, and invoice exception resolution.
  • Working knowledge of the procure-to-pay cycle (RFQs, PO drafting, legal and delegated-authority approvals, three-way match, payment) and of contracts, change orders, and project scope.
  • Experience with project cost tracking: budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, burn-rate monitoring, accruals, and cost coding.
  • Familiarity with IT and network hardware terminology (transceivers, NICs, optics, cabling) sufficient to run RFQs and coordinate technical review.
  • Advanced Excel and strong MS Office skills; experience producing cost, status, and exception reports for Finance and operations.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, able to manage many concurrent orders, invoices, and projects with urgency, and to communicate clearly with vendors, project managers, executives, and Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and triage parts requests from datacenter technicians, software development, and site teams.
  • Issue RFQs to approved suppliers for cost and lead time, confirm viability with the requestor, and obtain a formal quote.
  • Own the end-to-end procure-to-pay process with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform SAP entries including vendor onboarding and PO upload for financial approval by Finance.
  • Review and validate vendor and contractor invoices against contracts, POs, and approved scope for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage the invoice exceptions process within SAP, resolving blocked, mismatched, underfunded, or misaligned POs and invoices with vendors, project managers, Procurement, and accounts payable; serve as primary contact for vendor billing inquiries.
  • Prepare the month‑end invoice exceptions report for Finance and weekly summaries of approved SES billing for project controls teams.
  • Manage and track project budgets for datacenter construction, development, and technology projects: maintain cost records, monitor actuals versus budget, prepare forecasts, variance analysis, and cost summaries, and act as finance business partner to project stakeholders.
  • Monitor burn rates for major contractors, flag potential funding shortfalls to project teams, and work with Procurement on material costs and cash‑flow timing.
  • Support month‑end activities (accruals, cost forecasting, AP reconciliation, financial reporting) and respond to audit and documentation requests related to project spend.
  • Identify recurring delays, exceptions, or control gaps across the procure-to-pay and project cost processes and recommend process or SAP improvements.
