Job summary

Aksia is seeking an associate for its Private Markets Client Operations team. This role focuses on middle/back-office accounting for private market funds and requires detailed transactional work, with collaboration across investment, risk, data, and Pan Alternatives teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in fund accounting/operations, strong Excel skills, and a solid understanding of fund structures. This remote role is preferred in US Pacific or Mountain time zones and involves interaction

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of fund accounting/operations experience.
• Knowledge of private equity, private credit, fund accounting, legal structures, investment objectives, fee structures.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with middle/back-office operations and account services for private market funds.
• Record transactions to the investment management system.
• Liaise with investment managers, third party administrators and banks.
• Track forecasted cash flows - capital calls, distributions, invoices, etc.
• Review monthly/quarterly closing packages for accuracy and completeness.
• Review management fee calculations, including offset amounts and waiver contributions.
• Review investor allocations and capital account statements.
• Review capital call and distribution calculations, sources/uses of cash, allocations and notices.
• Review distribution waterfalls in line with fund terms.
• Prepare and/or review financial statements, notes disclosures, and schedules.
• Assist with year-end audit process with client and auditors.
