Job summary

CentraCare Health is seeking a part-time Prior Authorization Assistant in Saint Cloud, MN. The role supports health plan and payer utilization reviews, including referrals, pre-certifications and authorizations, working with physicians and staff to ensure timely patient care.

The position emphasizes customer service and adherence to Family Centered Care principles, with a majority remote schedule and some onsite orientation. Tuition reimbursement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in HIT or health-care related program preferred.
• 1 year of relevant healthcare experience may substitute education.
• Minimum 1 year experience in prior authorization preferred.
• Knowledge of health care and medical practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Prior Authorization team processes health plan/payer utilization review requirements including referrals, pre-certifications, and prior authorizations in a timely and accurate manner.
• They work closely with internal physicians and staff as well as external health care providers to facilitate quality patient care and excellent customer service.
• Supporting and implementing patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.
• Demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients, families, and co-workers.
