Job summary

Banner Health's remote Authorization team seeks a motivated PAS Authorization Representative to obtain and complete insurance authorization requests, verify benefits, and input data into our systems to maximize reimbursement.

This full-time role (Mon–Fri 8:30 AM–5:00 PM AZ Time) supports a fast-paced environment; strong communication, problem-solving, and independence are essential. Three years of procedure auth/referral experience or surgery scheduler background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires 3 years of healthcare insurance/authorization experience.
• Detail oriented with high productivity and low errors.
• Ability to work independently from a remote location.

Responsibilities

• Process authorization initiation for all service lines and document updates in Host systems.
• Provide authorization numbers and patient demographics to billing and referrals staff.
• Respond to provider orders and obtain authorizations for tests and visits.
• Work remotely with structured routines and independent decision making.
• Follow escalation protocols with providers and departments for resolution.
