APDerm is seeking a Prior Authorization Coordinator for a primarily remote role; you must reside in MA, NH, RI, or CT. You will manage medication and procedure authorizations, communicate with insurers, and maintain patient records with precision.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current Certified Medical Assistant certificate preferred.
• Certified and licensed pharmacy technician preferred.

Aufgaben

• Interview patients to determine how they can be assisted in receiving authorizations for medications and procedures.
• Process necessary documentation to expedite approvals and ensure follow-up is performed.
• Receive pre-authorization requests and monitor them closely.
• Obtain authorization from insurers via telephone, fax, or online systems while maintaining confidentiality.
• Review information for accuracy and completeness; ensure supporting documents are present.
• Process referrals and submit medical records to insurers to expedite prior authorizations.
• Manage correspondence with insurers, physicians, specialists and patients as required.
• Manage denials and submit appeals to get them approved.
• Document pre-authorization information in patient records and record authorization numbers in Centricity.
