Remote Prior Authorization Coordinator Highlights

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
Schedule
  • Training Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm CT (2 weeks)
  • Work Schedule: Shifts vary between 7:00am – 8:00pm CT (8-hour shifts, Monday – Friday)
  • Mandatory overtime may be required
Location

Fully remote – must have a private home office with a door and hardwired internet connection (no Wi-Fi)

Responsibilities
  • Perform non-clinical activities and functions under supervision, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Review and maintain compliance with ERISA, CMS, Medicaid, and client-specific requirements
  • Sort and process incoming faxes and mail to meet service level agreements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely transaction processing
  • Collaborate with team members to meet business unit objectives
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months – 1 year of data entry experience required
  • 1 year of healthcare-related experience (hospital, managed care, physician office, PBM) preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Typing speed of at least 30 WPM (screenshot of recent test required)
  • Must provide screenshot of internet speed test
  • Must have a distraction-free home office with a door and hardwired internet
Attendance

Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
