Job summary

The Ai Training Company is seeking seasoned Principal Systems Engineers and related leadership roles to guide a remote AI-enabled engineering program. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and define system requirements, interfaces, and acceptance criteria for successful outcomes.

You will design plans for integration, verification, and validation, review risk and feasibility, and document architectural decisions to ensure the final system meets its purpose.

Qualifications

• Substantial professional experience as a Principal Systems Engineer, Lead Systems Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer, Systems Architect, or comparable technical leader.
• Proven experience leading complex engineering projects involving multiple technical disciplines.
• Strong expertise in requirements engineering and requirements decomposition.
• Strong experience with interface management and system integration.
• Strong understanding of verification and validation methodologies.
• Ability to break complex programs into clear, connected engineering tasks.
• Ability to define measurable technical objectives and acceptance criteria.
• Strong engineering judgment and structured problem-solving ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic engineering projects involving multiple technical disciplines.
• Translate high-level objectives into clear system requirements, technical constraints, interfaces, and measurable acceptance criteria.
• Break complex engineering programs into connected tasks with defined inputs, outputs, dependencies, and ownership.
• Define responsibilities for mechanical, electrical, hardware, software, manufacturing, test, and other engineering contributors.
• Identify critical interfaces and dependencies between subsystems.
• Develop realistic integration, verification, and validation plans.
• Review engineering approaches for completeness, feasibility, consistency, and technical risk.
• Define objective evaluation criteria for complex engineering deliverables.
• Identify ambiguous requirements, missing assumptions, conflicting constraints, and integration risks.
• Document engineering reasoning, trade-offs, system architecture decisions, and validation expectations clearly.
• Contribute real-world systems engineering expertise to help evaluate how AI systems plan and execute multidisciplinary engineering work.
