Syneos Health, Inc. is seeking a Principal/Sr Medical Editor for regulatory documents, copy editing, and QC with NA/Canada remote base. You will ensure compliance with FDA/EU guidelines, lead editorial projects, and mentor writers.

The role emphasizes strong QA, process improvement, and collaboration across medical writing teams to accelerate therapy delivery while maintaining high quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical editing within regulated environments.
• Familiarity with FDA/EU guidelines and industry standards.
• Ability to lead complex medical writing projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintains familiarity with FDA, EU, and other guidelines to ensure documents meet regulatory requirements.
• Represents editorial group in medical writing on study teams and cross-departmental projects.
• Monitors timelines and budgets; updates stakeholders when deliverables are at risk.
• Provides training and mentorship to medical editors and writers.
• Acts as project lead for complex medical writing deliverables and ensures distribution of information.
• Performs quality review to ensure accuracy of documents.
• Contributes to process improvements and internal SOPs.
• Manages projects per SOPs and client standards, on time and on budget.
