Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies seeks a Principal Java Developer to architect and build enterprise-grade applications and distributed systems at scale. This remote, full-time role spans the United States, offering opportunities to lead end-to-end engineering initiatives.

You will collaborate with product managers, architects, and DevOps in an Agile setting, delivering robust Java backends with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and modern front-end components using React.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of professional software development experience building production-grade enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and end-to-end system design principles.
• Advanced working knowledge of Java (11 & 17) and Spring Boot with RESTful APIs.
• Experience designing microservices, service decomposition, inter-service communication, and observability.
• Proven experience developing front-end applications using React; familiarity with Angular or Vue is a plus.
• Strong SQL skills with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
• CI/CD tooling and Git-based workflows; release management.
• Experience deploying to AWS, Azure, or GCP; cloud services, networking, identity primitives.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications and distributed systems.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical designs and production-quality code.
• Deploy cloud-native services and support them through their operational lifespan.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps, and fellow developers in Agile environments.
• Deliver secure, performant applications and ensure quality through code reviews and testing.
