Job summary

Mitratech is seeking a Principal Engineer to drive technical direction for a major product domain, partnering with cross-functional and cross-country teams to deliver high-impact software for the legal technology space.

You will help shape the org's adoption of agentic AI tools, review AI-generated code, and architect systems that enable safe, scalable AI contributions. This role is 100% remote in the US with a compensation range of $175k–$185k annually.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with backend focus
• Proficiency in .NET/C# with production backends
• Experience designing AI/ML-powered features and integrating LLM services
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across teams

Responsibilities

• Drive technical direction for a significant product domain
• Lead architectural debt remediation to improve reliability
• Collaborate with leadership to assess roadmap feasibility
• Mentor teams via RFCs and best practices
• Design scalable software with cross-country teams
• Shape AI-native reviews and architect for agentic contribution
• Own cookbook and knowledge-base standards for engineers and AI
• Evaluate agentic tooling balancing velocity, cost, security
