Brooksource seeks a Principal Data Platform Engineer to lead architecture, reliability, and evolution of an enterprise data platform spanning analytical stacks and master data management. You will partner with executives, implement cloud infrastructure as code, and own the MDM platform, ensuring data quality and observability across the organization.

Qualifications

15+ years IT experience with data engineering and platform focus.
5+ years in senior or lead data platform roles.
Expert SQL, Python, and core data modeling fundamentals.
Strong modern data stack: GCP/BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte, Looker.
IaC experience with Terraform on GCP and cloud automation.
Experience integrating AI into analytics environments.

Responsibilities

Own architecture and operations of enterprise data platform across ingestion, transformation, warehousing, and BI layers.
Define standards for data modeling, MDM, and platform integration.
Own master data management platform (Pimcore or equivalent) and data governance.
Lead roadmap, partner with executives, and mentor data engineers and BI developers.
Drive cost optimization, observability, and data quality across the stack.
Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure as code and monitoring frameworks.
