Jobot is seeking a Principal Data Engineer for a remote role in the fintech space. You will design, build, and scale modern data pipelines and architectures to support enterprise analytics and data products.

This hands-on position emphasizes ELT development, dimensional modeling, and modern cloud data platforms, with ownership across the data lifecycle—from ingestion to curated data marts. Join a team focused on performance, scalability, and data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years building ELT pipelines in a data warehouse
• Strong dimensional modeling experience (Kimball, Data Vault, Medallion)
• Hands-on with dbt and Airflow or Dagster
• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses; distributed data systems; Kubernetes
• Deep understanding of append-only data modeling and point-in-time structures
• Proficient in Python and SQL
• Experience with TDD for data pipelines and Git-based CI/CD
