Job summary

Harris Miller Miller & Hanson Inc. (HMMH) seeks a Principal Consultant – Aviation Business Development to join our Aviation Environmental & Sustainability Group in a remote or hybrid US role.

You will serve as a technical expert in aviation environmental planning and NEPA, lead large projects, mentor staff, maintain client relationships, and help grow HMMH’s presence in the aviation environmental field. Occasional travel for client meetings, conferences, or on-site project activities is expected

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Environmental Planning, Engineering, Aviation, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive technical and project management experience in environmental planning and NEPA.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor project managers and technical staff.
• Proven ability to bring in new projects and develop market opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a recognized industry expert in aviation environmental planning and NEPA, including environmental documentation and FAA requirements.
• Lead technically and procedurally complex projects from initiation through completion within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Mentor staff and supervise subconsultants to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Develop client relationships and pursue new market opportunities in aviation NEPA activities.
• Coordinate with marketing and business development to plan BD activities.
