Job summary

Harris Miller Miller & Hanson Inc. (HMMH) is seeking a Managing Consultant to join its Aviation Environmental & Sustainability group in a remote or hybrid role.

The Managing Consultant will lead environmental planning, NEPA/CEQA documentation, and business development, with mentoring of junior staff and coordination of multidisciplinary teams. Travel may be required for project work, client meetings, fieldwork, and industry events.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in environmental science, engineering, atmospheric science, physics, planning, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated NEPA/CEQA planning and documentation experience.
• Knowledge of environmental laws and integration with infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing subconsultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage moderately complex environmental projects from initiation through closeout.
• Provide technical direction and oversight through execution or delegation.
• Write NEPA chapters including alternatives, purpose and need, and environmental consequences.
• Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, contracts, and financial performance.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and participate in meetings and presentations.
• Support proposals, scopes of work, cost estimates, and business development.
