Job summary

TradeStation is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to build and manage the AI Platform from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern programming languages and backend services, as well as strong skills in AI integration and cloud deployment. The position is remote but candidates must be residents of specific states including Florida and Texas.

Responsibilities include architecting the platform's core, designing secure integrations, and collaborating with engineering teams to set best practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape how engineering teams use AI technology effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing and building platform, infrastructure, or backend services used by other engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and hands-on build the core of the AI Platform.
• Set the technical bar for the platform.
• Design secure integrations between internal systems and AI agents.
• Build telemetry and observability for AI usage.
• Partner with engineering teams to create reusable skills.
• Establish patterns and best practices for AI tooling.
• Champion best practices in software development.
