Job summary

Premier Radiology, a Radiology Partners practice in the Greater Nashville area, seeks a Remote Medical Billing Specialist to manage pre-authorization and medical necessity for outpatient radiology exams. You will liaise with insurance companies and referring physicians while supporting patients and clinics in CST time zone.

Qualifications

• Background in healthcare preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical billing and managed care.
• Background with eClinicalWorks Practice Management System preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to communicate with patients, physicians, clients, coworkers, and management staff
• Excellent phone and computer skills

Responsibilities

• Will contact insurance companies and third‑party administrators to determine pre‑authorization and/or medical necessity requirements for outpatient radiology exams and procedures
• Responsible for obtaining the pre‑authorization before the scheduled services are performed
• Will act as a liaison between the patients and referring physician offices when needed to obtain additional clinical documentation
• Fully Remote – Working in CST time‑zone
