Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Remote Pre-Service Center Verification Specialist to coordinate financial clearance for patient access. You will verify demographics, insurance, and referrals, obtain authorizations, and support timely care while ensuring privacy and compliance.

The role requires 1–3 years in hospital registration or insurance, strong customer service, Excel/Outlook, and Epic experience. Fully remote with initial training conducted remotely.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree or higher preferred.
Experience in hospital registration and/or insurance is desirable.

Responsibilities

Monitor queues for registration, referral and prior authorization and clear them by obtaining required information.
Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements for authorizations/referrals and facilitate financial clearance.
Collaborate with patients, providers and departments to obtain necessary information and approvals before scheduled services.
Ensure updated demographic and insurance data are accurately recorded in registration systems.
