Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a PowerApps Developer to design, build, and maintain model-driven and canvas apps for a remote contract, following 9am–5pm ET hours.

Role emphasizes Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server, and external APIs, with Power Fx, JavaScript, Python, and React. You’ll deploy via VS Code and Git, and craft Power Automate flows with solid error handling and ALM.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required to comply with government contract requirements.
• Current CompTIA Security+ CE certification is required.
• Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience or High School Diploma with 6 years of experience.
• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages)
• Strong understanding of canvas and model-driven apps, data sources, data modeling, and connectors; coding background (JavaScript, Python, Power Fx).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain model-driven and canvas apps using premium connectors and data sources.
• Organize requirements, identify MVP, and collaborate with leadership on milestones.
• Collaborate with clients and team members to sustain and enhance PowerApp solutions.
• Design relational data models in Dataverse and data export for retention.
• Follow best practices with reusable components, custom pages, and modern controls; optimise performance and UX.
• Integrate with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Teams, OneDrive, and external APIs via custom connectors.
• Develop Power Fx, JavaScript, React; use VS Code, Node.js, and Git for commits and MRs.
• Create Power Automate flows with robust error handling and retry patterns.
• Prepare deployment requests using Solutions, environment variables, connection references, and pipelines.
• Conduct solution reviews for quality and compliance.
• Support sustainment activities like incident remediation, releases, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance in Power Platform.
