Job summary

KnowledgeCity, LLC is seeking a Post Production Quality Control Specialist to ensure top-tier video quality across course content. You will review footage, annotate storyboards with Boords, and verify alignment of voiceovers, visuals, and animations.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently across time zones. Remote international role with growth opportunities in content quality and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Education, Library Science, Research, or a related field.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot visual, audio, and linguistic inconsistencies.
• Strong understanding of video formats, pacing, transitions, and narration sync.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while meeting tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with Boords and other storyboard tools (training will be provided if needed).
• Comfortable using platforms such as Google Drive, ClickUp, and feedback documents.
• Prior experience in content writing, post-production QC, e-learning, or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review raw course videos for audio/visual issues, including talent mistakes, background noise, syncing problems, and on-screen content mismatches.
• Create and annotate storyboards using Boords to guide video editors in the post-production process.
• Watch the final course versions and verify that voiceover and visuals are aligned, icons/slides/animations appear at the correct times, and brand standards are applied.
• Identify and document inconsistencies, errors, or areas of improvement in a clear and actionable manner.
• Collaborate with video editors, project managers, and instructional designers to ensure seamless post-production workflow.
• Follow and help evolve QC checklists, documentation, and processes.
• Maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams across different time zones.
• Research industry trends and standards to keep the library current, using Generative AI tools as needed.
• Curate information from diverse sources and prepare logical, structured course outlines.
• Bridge research and production by preparing comprehensive handoff briefs for Content Writers.
• Collaborate with the production team to align content with instructional design standards and brand voice.
• Verify accuracy of curated facts, data points, and safety/regulatory information.
• Identify gaps in the course library and propose new topics based on market demand.
