MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of two years of experience in grants management, accounting, or financial administration, preferably in a higher education or research/nonprofit setting.
Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, (e.g. - Workday, Cognos, or PeopleSoft) for financial data extraction and analysis.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining collaboration with team members.
Experience with grant closeout procedures and knowledge of federal regulations governing sponsored programs. Familiarity with federal cost principles (e.g., 2 CFR 200). Experience with cost transfers or effort certification. Familiarity with data entry processes and maintaining data integrity across multiple systems. Experience coordinating audits or financial monitoring related to sponsored research.
Ability to read, write and follow instructions. Some positions may require demonstration of specific attributes or abilities to perform assigned work.
Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
